    BIM on ice

On February 11, a case championship for students started, organized by the Metropolis company and SPbGASU. Ksenia Pashkevich, Chief Architect Specialist, Sergey Bryuzgin, Head of HVAC Department, Dmitry Yatsenko, Marketing Communications Manager, held a presentation of the company and an introductory lecture for the participants.

A case championship is a competition between student teams in solving a practical problem based on a real project. The competition consists of three stages. The first one includes the development of the architectural concept of the object; students of the Faculty of Architecture participate in it. The second stage is the complex development of the project, where the Chief Project Engineers / BIM coordinators, designers, VC and OV specialists are connected. The projects will be defended in May.

The participants will have to create a project of the Ice Sports Palace. To do this, students will unite into full-fledged design teams and complete a building project, as well as create a BIM model. The experts of the case championship were teachers of SPbGASU and employees of the Metropolis company. The case championship will be a good test of the knowledge and competencies of future architects, engineers, designers, BIM coordinators.

We wish all the participants good luck and fruitful work!
