The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is one of Russia’s largest business platforms, bringing together representatives of business, government authorities, educational institutions, and the expert community.
On June 6, the «Metropolis» delegation took part in the Youth Day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. At the invitation of the «Reliable Generation Foundation» and the «Roscongress» Foundation, the company was represented at the forum by:
- Ekaterina Zorina, Assistant Chief Project Engineer, Moscow
- Valeria Kozodaeva, Architect, Saint Petersburg
- Lyudmila Morshchakova, Lead Process Engineer, Saint Petersburg
- Alisa Kurilina, Marketing Communications Manager, Moscow
The Youth Day program focused on technological development, education, workforce training, and the professional growth of young specialists.
Ekaterina Zorina, Valeria Kozodaeva, and Lyudmila Morshchakova joined the delegation as participants and prize winners of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN. Previously, they competed as members of the same team, becoming prize winners of the CASE-IN Autumn Cup 2022 and winners of the CASE-IN 2023 Special League «Architecture, Design, and Housing & Utilities». Today, the specialists work in different branches of the company while maintaining professional connections and continuing to participate in industry initiatives.
«I was very happy to attend such a significant event for our country! SPIEF impressed me with its scale, level of organization, and the number of fascinating exhibition stands. It was great to see firsthand the innovations and achievements presented by Russia’s regions, discover new ideas and technologies, and reconnect with professors from my alma mater,» shared Ekaterina Zorina.
As part of Youth Day, our employees joined activities at the Urban Hub venue, where the PolyForma team, winners of the CASE-IN 2026 Student League «Architecture, Design, Construction, and Housing & Utilities», took part in the «Urban Development Challenge» design workshop. Participants developed a concept for the development of the Saint Petersburg Marina year-round resort area, while our colleagues had the opportunity to review the students’ work and support the team.
As part of the forum’s business program, our colleagues participated in discussions on technological development, engineering education, collaboration between businesses and universities, workforce training, and new career opportunities for young people.
«Year after year, the pavilion architecture continues to impress me. I appreciate that the organizers strive to make the stands not only eye-catching but also interactive—whether it is a giant roly-poly toy you can push or a cozy lounge with a fireplace where visitors can relax after walking several kilometers around Expoforum,» said Valeria Kozodaeva.
«This year, SPIEF was especially vibrant and visually impressive. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition area dedicated to medicine and cutting-edge technologies that are increasingly being integrated into healthcare. I was also impressed by the new section devoted to the architecture of Saint Petersburg and Moscow, where scale models of major urban clusters and buildings planned for construction in the coming years were presented,» noted Lyudmila Morshchakova.
The participation of the company’s employees in SPIEF Youth Day provided an opportunity to explore current industry initiatives, exchange experience with representatives of the professional community, and discuss approaches to developing human capital, technologies, and the engineering competencies of the future.
