    Metropolis collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects

    The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), which includes the Metropolis company, has published the results of a competition for the development of an architectural and urban planning concept for the integrated development of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye territory. The winners of the competition are international architectural firms: Archea Associati (Italy), Nikken Sekkei (Japan), Zaha Hadid Architects (Great Britain).


    Leading international companies will be involved in this ambitious project, including members of the Tall Buildings Council: Arup, Rider Levett Bucknall, Nikken Sekkei Ltd and Metropolis. Our company, in collaboration with Zaha Hadid and Pride, will work on structural and engineering solutions for the project, as well as design infrastructure facilities.


    Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye will provide new housing for about 66,500 people. The project provides for the construction of new schools, medical centers, transport infrastructure, shopping centers and social and cultural facilities. Nearby there will be 800,000 sq. m of office real estate, meeting the growing needs of the Moscow market for financial, consulting, legal and audit services.


    In total, about four million sq. m will be built in Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye on an area of over 460 hectares of real estate. A third of the territory will be occupied by park areas, forests and a 30-hectare lake.


    The architectural concept of Zaha Hadid Architects provides for the construction of two skyscrapers, which are included in the world database of skyscrapers The Skyscraper Center: Tower 1 и Tower 2.
