The Metropolis company has developed a concept for a large-scale multifunctional quarter, the «First Quarter» in Bishkek – a modern «city within a city» that fits organically into the cultural context of Kyrgyzstan and its majestic mountain landscapes.
Architectural concept: mountainous relief in urbanism
The key idea of the architects is to create a unique urban environment, where architecture becomes a continuation of the natural environment and the cultural code of the region.
Source of inspiration and associative series
Silhouette of the city. The composition of the block is formed by expressive high-rise dominants – an office tower – 16 floors, apartments – 21 floors – and horizontal accents, reminiscent of the majestic rock formations of the Jety-Oguz gorge. This stepped, layered silhouette gives Bishkek a new, memorable appearance.

Ornamental facades. The architectural design of the buildings draws inspiration from the fine ornaments of the famous Burana Tower, creating a visual connection with the rich historical and cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.

Mountain Spaces. The spaces between the buildings are designed as winding mountain streams and gorges. A network of flowing alleys and pedestrian routes integrated into the master plan give the block depth, dynamics and intriguing multi-layering.
