The winners of the Special League "Architecture, Design and Construction" of the CASE-IN engineering championship are determined

On June 1, 2023, the final of the Special League of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN was held at the National Research Technological University MISIS.

CASE-IN is an international competition in solving engineering cases. The Metropolis company acted as a partner of the new Special League "Architecture, Design and Construction".

Metropolis experts presented a case that requires the development of solutions for various areas of design, including architecture and engineering solutions. The participants developed a comprehensive concept for a four-star hotel in Kaliningrad with at least 200 rooms and a total area of no more than 12,000 m2.

In total, more than 400 students took part in the competition, having formed 52 teams. In each team, the participants chose a chief project engineer and distributed the roles of an architect, designer, engineering specialists and a BIM coordinator.

During the qualifying stages, in addition to consultations from university mentors, more than 30 experts from the Metropolis company held more than 300 consultations for student teams.

Based on the results of two qualifying stages (“Project Concept” and “Design”), which took place online, the jury determined 10 finalist teams who were invited to the in-person final on June 1.
