«Metropolis» is a strategic partner of the student league of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN

On February 21, the TASS press center hosted a conference that kicked off the XII season of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN, held with the support of the presidential platform «Russia – the Land of Opportunities». During the event, key directions for the development of engineering competencies of youth for 2024 were outlined.

Alexander Vorozhbitov, CEO of «Metropolis», spoke at the TASS press conference about the company’s participation in the championship and the task for students who will have to develop the concept of a standard multifunctional complex. Student teams need to consider the principles of lean manufacturing and the modern level of architectural and construction design technologies.

“We are ready to offer the finalists internships in 6 company offices with the possibility of further employment. At the end of last season, 25 students completed an internship at Metropolis and 12 of them became our colleagues. We are pleased with this result and decided to expand the geography of the league, so in 2024 university students from more than 10 cities of our country are invited to participate. «Metropolis» continues to make plans and strengthen its team, so we are interested in finding young talented and ambitious specialists”, emphasized Alexander Vorozhbitov.

The first champions in the «Architecture, Design and Construction» direction in 2023 were the «BROYZ» team of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, whose members developed a comprehensive concept for a four-star hotel in Kaliningrad. The winner of the last season of CASE-IN and the architect of the Metropolis company, Valeria Kozodaeva, spoke at the press conference. She shared the secret of her team’s success and advised students to take part in the International Student Championship:

“The secrets of our victory are simple: we study a lot, develop our taste, fantasize, know how to listen and make the right conclusions. This applies to both: the internal work of the team and interaction with Metropolis specialists. Thanks to consultations after each stage of the championship, we received valuable advice and critical comments, which became the basis for our creative decisions. As a result, our efforts paid off, and we received prospects for further development. The internship we completed allowed us to experience the world of architectural and construction design and express ourselves. That was very pleasant to receive the invitation to become part of this large team of creative specialists. This is exactly what I can call the first serious step for my professional growth”.
